Terms of Service

Rules of the road. Short, specific, plain language.

Last updated · April 20, 2026Ontario, Canada
Plain-language notice. This policy is written for clarity first. It's drafted to align with PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, CASL, GDPR (via Canada's adequacy status), UK GDPR, and CCPA. It is not legal advice; if anything here conflicts with the law that applies to you, the law wins.

1. Parties

These Terms are an agreement between you ("you") and NSPEC, based in Ontario, Canada, operating the website nspec.dev("NSPEC", "we", "our"). By joining the waitlist or using the site, you accept these Terms.

2. What NSPEC is, today

At this pre-launch stage, we publicly offer a marketing site and a waitlist. Features, pricing, and roadmap items shown on the site are under active development and may change before launch. Joining the waitlist is free and does not create an obligation to deliver the product on a specific date.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use the site to:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Probe, scrape, or attack the site outside of good-faith responsible disclosure.
  • Submit malware, spam, or harmful content.

4. Intellectual property

The name NSPEC, the nspec.dev logo, and the contents of this website belong to NSPEC. "NSPEC" is used as a common-law trademark (NSPEC™). You may link to the site and briefly quote from it. Anything beyond that needs permission. Feedback you send us is non-confidential and we may use it freely.

5. Email from us

When you join the waitlist you consent to receive commercial electronic messages from us. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent any time by writing to info@nspec.dev.

6. Fees

The waitlist is free. Pricing shown for the paid product may change before public launch. We won't charge you without a clearly disclosed checkout flow and your affirmative consent at that step.

7. Disclaimers

The site and any pre-launch materials are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We don't promise the site will be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law that applies to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NSPEC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability under or relating to these Terms is capped at the greater of the amount you have actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim and one hundred Canadian dollars (CA$100).

9. Termination

You can leave the waitlist at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us. We can suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to protect the service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. The courts located in Toronto, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits mandatory protections your local consumer law gives you.

11. Changes

If we materially change these Terms we'll update the "Last updated" date and post a notice on this page. Continuing to use the site after a material change means you accept the new Terms.

12. Entire agreement

Together with the Privacy Policy, these Terms are the entire agreement between you and NSPEC about the site and the waitlist. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
